Lion Brand® Vanna's Choice® GAUGE: 13 dc = 4 in. (10 cm). EXACT GAUGE IS NOT ESSENTIAL TO THIS PROJECT. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. When you match the gauge in a pattern, your project will be the size specified in the pattern and the materials specified in the pattern will be sufficient. If it takes you fewer stitches and rows to make a 4 in. [10 cm] square, try using a smaller size hook or needles; if more stitches and rows, try a larger size hook or needles. NOTES: Scarf is made in two halves to create symmetrical curls.

SCARF First Half Ch 90. Row 1: Work 2 dc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Row 2: Ch 3, turn, dc in same space, 2 dc in each st across. Row 3: Ch 3, turn, dc in same space, dc in next st, *2 dc in next st, dc in next st; rep from * across. Row 4: Ch 2 (does not count as st), turn, *hdc in each of next 2 sts, 2 hdc in next st; rep from * across. Fasten off. Second Half Make same as First Half. FINISHING Sew halves together so that each half curls away from the center back seam. Tassels Wrap yarn around cardboard 40 times. Cut a piece of yarn 10 in. (25.5 cm) long and thread doubled onto large-eyed blunt needle. Insert needle under all strands at upper edge of cardboard. Pull tightly and knot securely. Cut yarn loops at lower edge of cardboard. Tie a Tassel to each end of Scarf. Trim Tassel ends evenly. Weave in ends.
