Lion Brand® Wool-Ease® GAUGE: 16 sts and 8 rows = 4" inches [10 cm] in double crochet using Size J crochet hook. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Fasten off. FINISHING: Sew square tog to form rectangle 6 squares wide by 7 squares tall. Border: Rnd 1 Join yarn to corner ch-3 sp. Ch 3 and work evenly around in dc, working 3 dc in each corner ch-3 sp, 1 dc in each dc and 3 dc in each ch-5 sp. Join with sl st to top of beg ch 3. Do not turn work at end of this or any foll rnds. Rnd 2: Ch 5, *skip 2 dc, 1 dc in next dc, ch 2, skip 2 dc, 1 dc in ech of next 3 dc, ch 2; rep from * around, end sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch 5.
